Grand Knight’s Message
Brothers,
Amazingly, I find myself writing my final Grand Knight’s message to my Brother Knights. As I do so, I have lots of fond memories from the past two years running through my head. We have increased our ranks with some really terrific people who have been super additions to our Council. We have worked hard and performed many good deeds for our Church community. Most importantly, and which I am most proud, we have stood always ready to support our Pastor and Chaplain, Father Mike. We have maintained a close relationship with him and we will all miss him very much. We must be thankful for the time we have had to share with him and pray for his success in his important new assignment in Somersworth.
As we transition to our new Pastor here at St.Joseph’s, we must of course realize he will be needing our help and support. We must be prepared to help him get settled and feel at home.
I wish to personally thank Father Mike for all his hard work, tremendous leadership, and the support he has given me these past two years. I will be always in his debt, and Pray that God will Bless him always.
Thank you also to all of my Officers who have been so supportive of me. Without you, I could not have gotten the job done. I only hope I have served my Council well. I offer these words of wisdom to the Council, "Keep up the good work!!"
Nominations have been made at the May business meeting for next year’s Officers. The names are posted under the Council News section. The elections will be held at the next meeting on Sunday, June 8. Best of luck to all about to be newly elected. Please keep in mind that all members who are Third Degree are eligible to run for all office positions and should place their names in nomination for any position of interest. This can still be done at June’s meeting. Nominations are open until time of voting. So, get involved & go for it!
We have been busy with a Mothers’ Day pancake breakfast, thanks Mark Hausmann for your hard work in taking care of this program. We have had the Crowning of Mary and I wish to thank Paul McManus for loaning us his “Live Rosary” for the evening, Thanks to all who helped with the Fishing Derby, and the Camp Fatima clean up. Coming up is our celebration to Father Mike on Sunday afternoon, June 8. Be sure to come and wish him good luck! And, the last Sunday in June, is our annual Church picnic.
Please keep Joe Clement, who has been ill in your Prayers, and Pray also for Chris Martel, who is being ordained as Deacon on Saturday, May 31.
Please pray for our Parish, Father Mike, all religious men and women, all our military personnel stationed around the world and for Peace on Earth in our lifetime.
Vivat Jesus,
Dave Biron

ON THE HUMOROUS SIDE
The Helper
A pastor is walking down the street one day when he notices a very small boy trying to press a doorbell on a house across the street. However, the boy is very small and the doorbell is too high for him to reach.
After watching the boys efforts for some time, the pastor moves closer to the boy's position. He steps smartly across the street, walks up behind the little fellow and, placing his hand kindly on the child's shoulder leans over and gives the doorbell a solid ring.
Crouching down to the child's level, the pastor smiles benevolently and asks, "And now what, my little man?" To which the boy replies, "Now we run!"

A new SECOND DEGREE TEAM is being formed in our District 8 which includes Epping, Exeter, Hampton, Rochester and Dover councils. Our District Deputy Ron Metevier is busy planning and coordinating the creation of this team. He is looking for volunteers who are interested in joining and playing a part. Please give this some serious thought. Having a second degree team in our own district would be very big advantage for us advancing our new candidates on their journey to Knighthood. Contact Ron Metevier or myself for more information.
