JULY 2008

Grand Knight's Message

Brothers,

I would like to take this time to thank all my Brother Knights for electing me as your new Grand Knight. I am looking forward to this upcoming year. I know there will be challenges ahead, for instance, now that Father Mike has left we will have to get to know and work with a new Pastor. I know whoever is Father's replacement the Knights will give the same support to him as we had for Father Mike. I am confident that whatever happens we will get through it, if we work together.

I would like to thank Father Mike for all his support and trust he gave to all of us these past six years, he will be missed.

I would also like to thank Dave Biron for a magnificent job he did these past two years as Grand Knight.

We have a busy month ahead of us. These are some examples: The Church picnic (June 29th), the Raymond fair on July 11-13, and the Motorcycle Blessing on July 20th. Please contact Mike Annis or myself if you can help ay any of these events.

I am looking forward to working with my Brother Knights and their families in the next year.

Vivat Jesus,

Rick Cabral

HUMOROUS TIMES

A teacher was giving a lesson on the circulation of the blood. Trying to make the matter clearer, he said,

"Now, boys, if I stood on my head the blood, as you know, would run into it, and I should turn red in the

            face."

            "Yes, sir," the boys said.

"Then why is it that while I am standing upright in the ordinary position the blood doesn't run into my feet?"

A little fellow shouted, "Cause yer feet ain't empty."

             ON THE SERIOUS SIDE

                                    ***********************************************************************

A new SECOND DEGREE TEAM is being formed in our District 8 which includes Epping, Exeter, Hampton, Rochester and Dover councils. Our District Deputy, Ron Metevier, is busy planning and coordinating the creation of this team. He is looking for volunteers who are interested in joining and playing a part. Please give this some serious thought. Having a second degree team in our own district would be very big advantage for us advancing our new candidates on their journey to Knighthood. Contact Ron Metevier at 895-2889 or myself at 679-1184 for more information.                                 ************************************************************************
