GRAND KNIGHT'S MESSAGE
Brother Knights,
We have made it to another fraternal cycle. Let me start by saying Thank You for electing me as your next Grand Knight. I look forward to continuing the good work of this council and following in the foot steps of our retiring Grand Knight Rick Cabral, and thank him for all he has done for this council: a job well done! Rick accomplished much and I am hopeful that we can continue to build off of all he has done.
We will be starting right out with a very busy month, with the 4th of July Parade. As of this moment we intend to have a float again this year and to support the Independence of this great nation. We follow that up with the Raymond Town Fair, July 9th, 10th and 11th where we will have our Steak and Cheese booth right along side the Squires Hamburger and Cheeseburger booth. Make sure you come out and support these fundraisers. Remember that without you guys we can not do it! So sign up for a time in the trailer or stop by for a great sandwich and a cold soda. The fastest way to accomplish this is by calling Mike Annis at 895-4713 and letting him know you are interested.
This is followed up by the Motorcycle blessing on the 18th and this is also another great and fun Project put on by Mike Annis. Unfortunately the quarterly meeting is the same day (July 18th) and I will be required to be there so there may be an open spot on the grills and up front on the ride as a blocker. I think this will be the first one I have missed since I started riding in 2002.
The following weekend I will be taking 50 of our teens to a youth rally in Rhode Island called Steubenville and I will have many Brother Knights and/or their significant others helping me by chaperoning these young adults for a weekend filled with Praise and Worship to our Lord and our God. Please keep these teens (and the adults) in your prayers as the weekend nears, as this is a weekend they will long remember and can change their life if they are open.
There are other ways that any of you can help as well. One of our Brother Knights will need help moving this month so if you can, please volunteer. Many hands make light work as they say and together we can accomplish a lot, so be open to the phone call and when a Brother calls looking for a hand say yes, you will be glad when you’re done and look back at what we accomplish as a team. So many opportunities present themselves and saying yes will make you feel better than you ever thought you could.
Last month was a busy month as well and we completed any number of events, and Deputy Grand Knight Bob Faust was finally able to get the road side clean up completed. A big THANK YOU to all that were able to come on Saturday to support this very special program, keep up the good work! And a Thanks to all that have helped on a project, as I have said, without you we cannot continue to do the work and the projects that people so desperately need in our parish.
Well I believe I have rambled on enough for one month and I truly look forward to the next year as Grand Knight of Council 6850, as Rick put it last month, the best Council in the state. The only way we can get there and stay there is with all of you pulling in the same direction.
Until next Month
Vivat Jesus, Jesus Lives!

HUMOROUS TIMES
4th of July Humor
Nicholas took his four-year-old son, Bryan, to several baseball games where "The Star-Spangled Banner" was sung before the start of each game.
Later, Nicholas and Bryan attended St Bartholomew's church on
the Sunday before Independence Day.
The congregation sang The Star-Spangled Banner, and after everyone sat down,
Bryan suddenly yelled out at the top of his voice, 'Play ball.'
